RED EAGLES EARN FIRST HOME LOSS
Ten-man side Express FC were defeated for the first time at home this season by Soltilo Bright Stars FC in the Star Times Uganda Premier League. Bright Stars picked up a 2-0 victory from the Muteesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku on Tuesday courtesy of Nelson Ssenkatuka’s first-half brace. Ssenkatuka scored his first goal in the 10th minute before he completed his double after the half-hour mark in the 32nd minute.

The seven-time SUPL champions were reduced to 10 men with a quarter of an hour played when Daniel Shabene was shown marching orders in the 15th minute for a bad tackle on Cleophus Fiat. Although the hosts were a player less for larger spells in this game, they put up a spirited fight, especially in the second half. The SUPL joint-leading goal scorer Allan Kayiwa should have added to his five goals in the 46th minute but he missed a penalty when his effort rattled off the woodwork.

REACTION
James Odoch – Head Coach
“We did not start the game well and that is how we conceded the first goal and after receiving a red card they scored their second goal. But we later grew in confidence and in the second half were without a doubt the best team and had Kayiwa scored the penalty a lot would have changed but unfortunately, he missed it. But I was generally impressed with the reaction of the players after we conceded two goals and also received a red card.”
