NTEGE OFF THE MARK AT EXPRESS

Forward Mustafa Anwaru Ntege was on target twice as Express FC lost 3-2 to Wakiso Giants FC in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League at Kabaka Kyabaggu on Monday. It was a day of mixed feelings for Ntege who only joined the Red Eagles at the start of the ongoing season from Busoga United.

Ntege was scoring his first and second goal for the seven-time champions when he netted two headers in the 32nd and 47th minute but they were not enough as the visitors lost the game. The hosts managed their goals through Frank Ssebufu’s brace in the eighth and 59th minute and Ibrahim Kasule who scored in the 26th minute.

Defeat meant that Express’ perfect run against Wakiso Giants came to an end. Before Monday’s game, the former had won all four games played against the latter. The Wankulukuku-based outfit stayed in the fifth position with 14 points after nine games and they will host Arua Hill SC on Friday, December 2nd.

“I am first of all disappointed that we lost the game because opening my goal account with two goals would have been sweet had we won the game. We shall go back to the drawing board and rectify the mistakes we made and I hope to continue scoring goals and help the team win games.”
