How Express lined up against Busoga United

A fixture against the Purple Sharks is one that James Odoch’s charges have enjoyed to the fullest having won all the previous meetings. Express and Wakiso have met four times since the latter gained promotion to the top flight in 2019 and the former has been victorious on all occasions. In their most recent face-off, Express edged Wakiso 2-1 in April 2022 on the road at Kabaka Kyabaggu where Monday’s bout will be hosted.

The seven-time champions on the other hand are positioned fifth with 14 points after eight games and will be hoping to add to their tally.

Reactions

James Odoch – head coach

“We expect a tough encounter against Wakiso who are without a doubt the best team in the league so far when you look at the standings and how they are playing. But we have a strong record against them and we shall be hoping to capitalize on that to ensure that we return to winning ways having lost our previous game against Bright Stars.”

Joshua Musoke – midfielder

“As players, we are in the right mentality and ready for tomorrow’s game. We have trained well throughout the week and improved on several mistakes that we made in our loss to Bright Stars and we are targeting victory against Wakiso.”
