Speed Merchant Lwesibawa Godfrey seals Express FC Return.
A fan favorite during his first spell with the Red Eagles, speed merchant Lwesibawa Godfrey has returned to the Eagles nest becoming the sixth player to be signed by the club.
The 24 year old who has signed a two year deal rejoins from Tooro United and says the club’s direction going forward lured him to return and can’t wait to get started.
“I am so happy to rejoin the club and the ambitions couldn’t be any different, we all want to win the league a feat we can all achieve if we work as a unit”
Lwesibawa told the club website after signing the contract.
“Neyo” like he’s fondly known by his peers is expected to boost Wasswa Bossa’s midfeild especially with his pace on the flanks.
Godfrey Lwesibawa made his league debut with Express FC in the 2013/14 season. He went on to play for two more seasons (2014/15 and 2015/16 seasons) managing 8 goals and 25 assists in as many appearances before leaving. He joins five other signings in Cryspus Kusiima and Denis Otim both goalkeepers, centre back Richard Bbosa, creative midfielder Abel Eturude and forward Kiragga Mustafa.
