WE SHALL GIVE IT OUR ALL TO DEFEND THE LEAGUE – MURUSHID JUUKO.
Express FC center back Murushid Juuko says the Red Eagles are ready to give everything in order to defend the Uganda Premier League title when the second round resumes in February.
Third placed Express FC have managed 26 points after 15 games and Juuko insists the fight is on.

“We’ve done fairly ok so far but I think we can do better, the break has allowed us to re-strategize and also helped some of us who were injured to get back to our feet so we’re raring to go when the league resumes” He noted before adding that his target is to ensure the backline doesn’t leak in more goals like it was case last season.

“My target is to ensure our backline is solid like it was the case last season. I’ve also been working extra hard behind the scenes to be ready for the second round. I also want to use this opportunity to appreciate everyone who wished me good luck recently when I announced my retirement from the national team, it meant alot ” he revealed.

The sheriff who has one goal this season so far has managed 12 league games this season and missed three with the most recent being the last two games before the end of the first round away to Tooro United and at home to Soltilo Bright Stars FC.
Wasswa Bbosa’s charges open up their second round campaign away to Soltilo Bright Stars FC at Kavuma Recreation Grounds on Monday 7th February but before that the Red Eagles will make the short trip to Lugogo on Friday 28th January to face regional side PCCP FC in the round of 64 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
