UP CLOSE WITH DAVID LUKWAGO’S INJURY RECOVERY.
Picking up injuries before the start of the season is one of any player’s nightmare like is the case for Express FC promoted goal Keeper David Lukwago.

The young shot stopper is expected to be out of action for up to six weeks and will be raring full return in late November. David last trained with the club in early September and has since then been suffering with a Torn Ligament and sofar so good with the recovery process atleast according to Him.
“IT’S TOUGH STARTING A MAIDEN SEASON WITH THE SENIOR TEAM ON THE SIDELINES AND NOT AVAILABLE FOR SELECTION. GETTING INJURED IS PART OF FOOTBALL BUT THE TIME WHEN IT HAPPENS IS REALLY VITAL, AT A PERIOD WHERE I FELT I’D BE OF USE TO THE TEAM AND BUILD MY CAREER AS WELL. THE CLUB IS DOING A TREMENDOUS JOB TO HELP ME GET BACK TO MY FEET, THE STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACH (HELEN BUTEME) ALONG WITH THE MEDICAL TEAM (ENOCK KAYONDO AND WANTE GODFREY) WHO ARE SUPPORTIVE TOO. I WILL ONLY WAIT FOR MY HEALING TIME TO PASS AND GET FULLY BACK IN THE SQUAD.”

Young goal Keeper David Lukwago told the club website.
“IT’S A BIT TOUGH TO HIM. NO PLAYER WANTS TO SIT OUT AND WATCH OTHERS PLAY, BUT I SHOULD SAY HE’S MENTALLY STRONG AND HE IS DOING WELL, WE HOPE THAT HE RECOVERS IN A FEW WEEKS TIME AND RESUME PLAYING.”

The team Doctor Enock Kayondo said.
Every one at the club wishes “Davie” a quick recovery.Next up for the Red Eagles is a home fixture against URA FC of match day 2.
