MATCH REPORT: THE RED EAGLES FLY OVER MBARARA CITY FC.
League and CECAFA Kagame Cup champions Express FC picked up their fourth league win of the season with a 2-0 victory over Mbarara City FC on Tuesday afternoon at the Betway Muteesa II stadium Wankulukuku.
Forward Erick Kambale scored from 12 yards while winger Godfrey Lwesibawa killed off the game three minutes to full time.

The visitors started out well penetrating the Express FC box but weren’t successful in the final third actually Joel Mutakubwa was less troubled as the Red Eagles kept the foot on the pressure pedal.
Forward Raymond Walugembe who was making his second straight start got into the box and was clipped by Mbarara City FC center back Otti Ronald leaving center referee Olem George with no option but to award a spot kick after 25 minute. Erick Kambale stepped up and converted to give the hosts the lead.

Wasswa Bbosa’s charges managed to keep their lead into the break but after recess the Ankole Lions were still not efficient in the final third but the Red Eagles stayed calm and kept in the game. Forward George Senkaaba who had replaced the injured Raymond Walugembe at the start of the second half kept the Mbarara City FC backline on its toes until the pressure paid off in 86th minute when his header was well controlled by Godfrey Lwesibawa who slotted home to seal the game.
