MATCH REPORT: EXPRESS FC TAME TOORO UNITED FC AWAY.
Express FC continued their quest to return to the summit of the league table with a routine 2-0 away win against Tooro United on Tuesday 4th January at the Buhinga stadium in Fort Portal.
Winger Martin Kizza scored both goals in the first half.

Express FC went all out at the start using more of either flanks of Martin Kizza and Godfrey Lwesibawa but Tooro United goalkeeper Lukyamuzi Kenneth was always on hand to get the hosts out of jail.
The pressure though eventually paid off when forward George Senkaaba’s goal bound effort was spilled by Lukyamuzi for a corner. Left back Sadiq Ssekyembe delivered the corner kick and Tooro United failed to clear the ball allowing Godfrey Lwesibawa to pounce on it and cross to a waiting Martin Kizza, the former made no mistake slotting home in the 26th minute to give the Red Eagles the lead.

Martin Kizza wasn’t done, five minutes later he was at it again connecting well with a beautiful cross by Deus Bukenya from the right, Martin made no mistake striking the ball immediately with his left foot to double the lead and also give the Red Eagles a 2-0 lead at the break.
After the break, Tooro United tried to get back into the game with forward Ojara Denis running down the Express FC backline but Goalkeeper Chrispus Kusiima was at his best with great saves to deny the hosts.

Wasswa Bbosa made three changes in the second period bringing on Charles Musiige for Martin Kizza at the restart, forward Raymond Walugembe for George Senkaaba in the 73rd minute and Faisal Ssekyanzi for Godfrey Lwesibawa in the 79th minute but the visitors were unable to score a third although they managed to keep it safe and earn maximum points.
