MATCH REPORT: EXPRESS FC SHARES SPOILS WITH VIPERS SC.

Express FC picked up a point at home against Vipers SC on Saturday evening at the Betway Muteesa II stadium Wankulukuku.

Center back Murushid Juuko and Erick Kambale scored for the hosts while Ceazor Manzoki and Livingston Mulondo scored for the away team.

The game started off well for the visitors with forward Ceazor Manzoki pouncing on a Yunus Sentamu’s cross which kissed the cross back and returned into play only for Congolese to slot home to give Vipers SC the lead on 10 minutes.

The hosts responded nineteen minutes later through center back Murushid Juuko who headed home after Erick Kambale crossed to him to send the home crowd into raptures but the best was yet to come.

Just when Rajab Bakasambe was about to call for the break, Erick Kambale announced his return pouncing on a loose ball in the box to double Express FC’s lead and the end the first half in style.

After the break Vipers came out with the intention to level matter, Joel Mutakubwa was called into action on several occasions as Ceazor Manzoki and Yunus Sentamu failed to make it count in the final third.

Express FC seemed to be headed to victory until Livingston Mulondo pounced on a lose ball at the far post to slot home and level matters for the visitors.

Substitute Paul Mucurezi could have gotten the winner with five minutes to play but Joel Mutakubwa punched the effort over the bar to ensure Express FC pick a point.

“Today’s game Isn’t the result we wanted, we surely had the game in our hands in the first half but in the second half we lost so many balls in the midfield, we shall take a point and this will help us prepare for the games coming ahead of us”.
