MATCH REPORT: EXPRESS FC LOSE AWAY TO VIPERS SPORTS CLUB.
Express FC lost 3-0 away to table leaders Vipers Sports Club on Friday evening at the St Mary’s stadium in Kitende.

A first half brace from Yunus Sentamu and a Bright Anukani strike in the second half earned the home team all three points.
The visitors started well but couldn’t penetrate Vipers’ backline to score an early goal however the hosts kept pushing until Yunus Sentamu slotted home off a Hilary Mukundane cross from the right flank in the 25th minute to make it 1-0.

The Red Eagles tried to make amends but the home side kept the foot on the pedal and doubled the lead through Yunus Sentamu again in the 32nd minute after he connected well with a Hillary Mukundane’s header. The action wrapped up the action in the first period.
After the break James Odoch’s charges tried to get back into the game but were unsuccessful on several attempts and the home team sealed the deal in the 60th minute when Bright Anukani’s shot was deflected into the net to make it 3-0.

Vipers managed to see out the game to earn maximum points. The Red Eagles remain sixth on the log on 42 points.
REACTIONS.
JAMES ODOCH – INTERIM MANAGER.

“First of all allow me to congratulate Vipers for winning the league, they wanted it more. About the game, I mentioned that Vipers scores through crosses and we allowed them to cross that’s why we conceded but we still want to finish in the top 4 and we shall go back and prepare better for the remaining games”.
Next up for the Red Eagles is a home game against BUL FC on Saturday.
