MATCH REPORT: EXPRESS FC, KCCA FC SHARE SPOILS IN STALEMENT.
Express FC and rivals KCCA FC shared spoils in a goalless draw on Wednesday afternoon at the MTN Omondi stadium Lugogo.
The game which didn’t have alot to write home about started off with KCCA FC using the middle of the park more to penetrate into the final third but Murushid Juuko and Denis Otim marshalled the backline to ensure safety.

Charles Musiige had the best opportunity to end the half with the visitors leading in the 38th minute but he failed to control the ball and slot home blasting is effort over the bar with the goal wide open.
After the break, KCCA FC switched to using flanks but Godfrey Lwesibawa and Erick Kambale worked double to stop the constant raids. Herbert Achai could have opened the scoring for the table leaders in the 55th minute but his long range drive went over the bar.

Goalkeeper Denis Otim came to the rescue seven minutes later when Sadat Anaku broke free on the left flank and hit a scorcher but his goal bound shot was off the mark thanks to Otim’s good reflex save.
Both sides then played it safe until the end which meant that the table leaders kept their unbeaten run intact while the Red Eagles moved to 20 points after 12 match days and sit 5th.

REACTIONS.
WASSWA BBOSA – HEAD COACH.
“We’ve managed to pick a point today away to KCCA FC. We got some chances especially in the first half but we didn’t convert them so we want to go back and work on our finishing especially because we still have more games to play. I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank the fans for supporting us all through the year and I want to wish them a merry christmas and a happy new year, let them keep the support coming”.

DENIS OTIM – G.K/ MOTM.
“Today’s performance was great, this draw has given us more homework especially for the forwards because we had some chances but we didn’t convert them. Personally I am happy that I’ve picked up a third clean sheet of the season, I want to dedicate this performance to my mum who had an accident last week, she kept me going and I’ll do better in the coming games”.

The league takes a break for the festive season but returns on 28th December with the Red Eagles hosting Busoga United.
