MATCH REPORT: EXPRESS FC DISPATCH PCCP FC TO MAKE CUP ROUND OF 32.
Express FC comfortably progressed to the round of 32 of the Stanbic Uganda Cup with a 3-0 win away to 4th division side PCCP FC on Friday afternoon at the MTN Omondi stadium in Lugogo.
Forward George Senkaaba, winger Joseph Akandwanaho and midfielder Yaya Mahad scored for the Red Eagles in the first half.

The Red Eagles started like a house on fire, just a minute into the game, winger Joseph Akandwanaho’s blistering run on the left wing was too much for PCCP FC’s Mohamed Kawooya to contain as he fouled Akandwanaho in the forbidden area leaving center referee Wasswa Alex with no option but to point to the spot, forward George Senkaaba stepped up and made no mistake from 12 yards in the second minute.

PCCP FC then looked like they had settled as they tried to use the flanks to level matters but the backline of Richard Bbosa, Issa Lumu and goalkeeper Chrispus Kusiima was on hand to calm the situation as the Red Eagles kept the pressure upfront.

It wouldn’t be long until the Red Eagles made it count once again, this time forward George Senkaaba making a run on the right flank and finding space to cross for an incoming Joseph Akandwanaho who made no mistake by heading home to make it 2-0 in the 38th minute but the Red Eagles weren’t done, once again forward George Senkaaba easily made his way on the left flank to find midfielder Yaya Mahad Kakooza who slotted home in the 39th minute to make it 3-0 and allow the visitors to head into the break with a comfortable lead.

After the break, The Red Eagles tried to increase the score but we’re unlucky, substitute Kiragga Mustafa could have got on the score sheet but PCCP FC goalkeeper Hannington Bwete was on hand to make some great saves.
Wasswa Bbosa’s charges managed to see out the game to make the round of 32.
