MATCH REPORT: EXPRESS FC BEAT RIVALS S.C VILLA TO CLAIM DERBY BRAGGING RIGHTS.
Express FC earned sweet revenge for their recent cup loss to arch rivals S.C Villa after their 2-1 league win away on Saturday evening at the FUFA technical center in Njeru.

Amir Kakomo’s own goal and forward Erick Kambale got the goals for the Red Eagles while Isaac Ogwang got the consolation.
S.C Villa got off to a perfect start taking the lead through forward Isaac Ogwang who rose highest to head home Nicholas Kabonge’s freekick in the 6th minute after Daniel Shabene had fouled Kabonge.
But the visitors responded perfectly 10 minutes later when Martin Kizza started a quick corner with Enock Ssebagala, the former then crossed the ball into the box but Amir Kakomo met the ball and directed it into the net to level matters and send the away crowd into raptures.
G.K Chrispus Kusiima was called into action twice to deny Villa from taking the lead, first in the 23rd minute to deny left back Joseph Kafumbe and in the 37th minute to deny Benson Muhindo but also Ivan Mayanja
In between all that action Ivan Mayanja had the best opportunity to double the lead at close range but his finish flew over the bar in the 34th minute and just when it looked like half time would end all square, Erick Kambale happened.
The lanky forward inter changed passes with a fast going Ivan Mayanja to slot home and double the lead before the break in added time and give the visitors the lead at the break.
The Red Eagles could have put the lead beyond reach after the break through Enock Ssebagala and Martin Kizza but on both occasions the ball went agonisingly wide.
Chrispus Kusiima was called back into action denying substitute Saddam Juma in the 71st minute from close range, the Red Eagles then managed to see out the game and win the derby.

The win takes Express FC to 39 points after 26 games played in the league.
