The Boys’ Resilience Has Made Me Proud – Kisala

The Red Eagles earned their third win of the season and second away from home. We caught up with their head coach Kefa Kisala and below are his thoughts on the game.

On getting two consecutive wins…

It’s good for us because its rare for teams to go on a run and away in Ugandan Football so I thank the players, the fans who have traveled, our players have given their all on tired legs so we have to stay focused because this is a marathon I want to remind you. We should not lose focus at all.

On Birungi’s nose injury…

It looks bad but we shall wait for the doctor’s review. It cost us because he was playing well but he had to go off. It disorganized our game plan but its good he is getting better and we have won. We shall treat him to see that he plays again soon.

On not converting well despite receiving plenty of long balls….

I think after playing Tooro then travel that long distance their bodies have been tired so we have to manage those bodies to see how we play our next game. They have been tired but their resilience has made me proud.
