I AM ENJOYING EVERY BIT OF IT HERE – DEUS BUKENYA.
Versatility in football comes with the ability to adapt to the situation at hand and such is the attitude defender/midfielder Deus Bukenya has shown at Express FC.
The 26-year-old who joined the Red Eagles in September has managed three games where he’s been deployed in different positions something he says he’s welcomed whole heartedly and is enjoying every bit of it.

“It had been a while since I’d last played in the Uganda Premier League but just like any other competitive league, you have to be able to adapt and I am happy I have settled in well at Express FC. I’ve always been able to play different positions and sofar so good for me because I’ve now played as a holding midfielder and as a right back of which I’ve given my all.”
He stated before adding he is glad he’s already registered an assist and a goal.

“For me to have an assist and a goal in three games is great, It gives me the confidence and motivation to keep performing better, I’d also like to appreciate my teammates and the technical team for the support”. He concluded.
Bukenya made his debut on match day three away to BUL FC playing as a holding midfielder as Express FC won 1-0.

He then made his second straight start at home in the 2-2 draw against Vipers S.C but was deployed at right back replacing Denis Mubuya, B.K like he’s fondly called went on to register his first assist crossing for Erick Kambale who doubled the lead before the break while his latest appearance, a third straight was away to Police FC in the 2-1 win where his long range freekick which went straight into the left top corner of the net gave the Red Eagles the lead.

The Red Eagles next face arch rivals S.C. Villa on 20th November at the Betway Muteesa II stadium Wankulukuku.
