Paidha Black Angels 1-3 Express | How It Happened

The Red Eagles recorded their second win in just 4 days.

Tony Odur opened the scoring with a well taken goal assisted by fellow striker Eric Kambale. He received a ball from the left connected well with Odur who shot direct on target. The keeper was beaten but the defender tried to clear it off the line but just bounced off his leg and went into the back of the net.

The visitors equalised before the break after the ref adjudged Shafiq Kakeeto for a foul on a Paidha player and pointed at the spot. Muwanga in our goal was sent the wrong way and the game ended 1-1 at halftime.

The Red Eagles came back in the second half with a very good strategy paying long balls to Odur and Kambale who didn’t disappoint with their control and link up play.

With just 11 minutes into the second half a long ball was played in and Kambale controlled it then released Kayiwa with the Paidha defense caught unaware then dinked it over the on rushing keeper to find the net. The referee pointed to the centre as the Paidha players were waiting for the flag from the linesman in vain.

The hosts tried to get the equalizer but the Red Eagles remained calm and Muwanga continued his excellent display and calming pressure at the back. They threatened on corners but we defended well and equalled all their challenges.

In the 84th minute with the hosts pushing for a leveler they continued to leave spaces at the back. They lost possession and the ball fell to Disan Galiwango who threaded it to Mubarak Nsubuga and went thru on goal unmarked. The keeper tried to come and close him down but his shot went past the keeper and hit the post before finding the net.

The Red Eagles were forced into a forced substitution in the first half after Michael Birungi was hit by a ball on the nose and it appeared to be hurt. He was substituted and Mubarak Nsubuga came in in his place.

Kayiwa scored his third goal of the season making him our top scorer this season. Odur and Nsubuga scored their second goals of the season. Kambale assisted two while Galiwango assisted one.
