GODFREY LWESIBAWA UNFAZED BY INJURY SET BACK AS HE RETURNS TO THE FOLD.
Speed merchant Godfrey Lwesibawa is not about to let his injury layoff damper his energy for the season going forward.
The 28-year-old has been out of action since 19th September during the 1-0 loss away to Al Merrikh in the CAF Champions League preliminary round nursing a knee injury but he states that he’s unfazed by the layoff and only wants to return to action.

“Knee injuries are troublesome but I am happy all that is now in the past, my aim now is to get back into the team and perform even better than last season individually”.
He stressed before adding that the derby is a massive game and that the approach is to pick up maximum points.

“We’ve focused on the derby, we respect S.C Villa but we want to keep our momentum because that’s the only way we can keep top of the log”. He concluded.

Godfrey Lwesibawa managed five goals and as many assists last season across all competitions, he also registered a goal in the CECAFA Kagame Cup enroute to Express FC winning it’s first regional title ever.

Express FC host arch rivals S.C Villa on Saturday 20th November at the Betway Muteesa II stadium Wankulukuku.
