Express FC, the defending CECAFA Kagame Cup champions will return to Dar-es-Saalam Tanzania where they won their first ever regional title to defend it.

The revelation was made by the CECAFA general secretary Auko Gecheo after a Zoom meeting on Tuesday with member countries to decide where all the CECAFA events this year will be held.

“Tanzania will host the CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers, CECAFA U-23 Championships/U-23 qualifiers and the CECAFA Kagame Cup” read part of the statement on the CECAFA website.

Express FC beat Malawian side Nyasa Big Bullets to win the competition in August 2021, it was the club’s first ever regional title.

The dates for the showpiece will be communicated in due course.
