Towering Left Back Arthur “Boca” Kiggundu [The Big Dog]  has signed a new deal with the 2021 CECAFA Kagame cup champions until 2024.

Arthur featured for the Red eagles in the 2021/22 season and was also part of the 2020/21 Squad  winning the Uganda Premierleague and 2021 CECAFA Kagame Cup in Dar es salaam.

The full back was out of contract at the end of August 2022, meaning the new deal is a two-year extension.

“Playing for any club is a good thing but playing for Mukwano Gwabangi an extreme feeling. I am here for my next uganda Premier League Silverware this season. I am already enjoying the moment with the new talented players that have joined the team. I cannot wait for the season to resume.”

Kiggundu told the club website.

The Left back joins fellow centre-back and Now captain  Isa Lumu and Holding Midfielder Daniel shabene in extending his stay at Wankulukuku .

“He (Kiggundu) has composure, good communication and Command. Adding such a talent to our squad will be a good example to a pool of young players we’ve added onto the team. Arthur has been in the league with Express FC since his teenage age and am certain he understands the goals of the club better.”

The red eagles begin their title race away at Bombo on Saturday 1st October.
