Express FC forward Erick Kambale has left the club to join Sudanese giants El Merrick on a permanent 2 year contract at an un disclosed fee.

The Congolese born forward joined the club in 2018 as a young forward he managed 83 appearances scoring 33 goals more than any other player in the club during that time.

Kambale who has spent 3 seasons as a red eagle has signed a 2 year deal with the Sudanese side and is happy about the move.

“I am happy that I’ve moved to El Merrick, like any other player it’s a dream come true to play professional football and I am happy this has come to pass. I want to thank the Express FC management for making this happen and I also want to thank the fans who have always been there for me, I promise to do my best in Sudan”.

He is most notably remembered for his 2020/2021 season where he scored over 20 goals and making the three man’s final list of Airtel FUFA Player of the year awards where he came second. In the same season Kambale was central to the club’s 7th League title triumph and it’s 1st CECAFA Kagame Cup triumph.
