Express FC youngster Hassan Mubiru’s contract has been reviewed ahead of the 2022/2023 football season. This has come after the new Head Coach James Odoch made it a point that the young talent is going to be a key part of his team rebuilding project.

The young forward was promoted to the senior team ahead of the 2021/2022 season but is yet to make his debut for the club.

“I am happy to be considered a key part of next season’s team, Express FC fans should expect alot because I have grown up with Express and I know the club’s history. I hope to emulate the name of club legend Hassan Mubiru, my parents saw him play and loved him so much hence when they had me they named me after him.”
Hassan told the club website.
Mubiru still has two years left on the contract he signed last season however there’s a new clause that calls for an option to extend the contract by two years.
Asked about the player, Head Coach James Odoch had this to say.

“There’s no secret about the kind of talent Hassan Mubiru is, he has grown up within our ranks from a young age and he understands what it means to play for Express, we’re going to make sure we get the best from him and he will be key in our style of play next season.”
Mubiru will be dawning shirt 8 which was put by John Byamukama, and hopes to emulate the footsteps of former club legend and namesake Hassan Mubiru.
