Winger Frank Ssenyondo targets double digits
If you had one shot, how would you use it? Hip-Hop grammy award winner Eminem asked in his song Lose Yourself, only Frank Ssenyondo would have a correct answer to that question.
Recruited as a trialist at the beginning of the 2019/20 season, Ssenyondo couldn’t tell how his debut season would pan out but he had one thing on his mind, repay the trust head coach then George Ssimwogere had shown him.
“I came over to Wankulukuku for trials and was selected then subsequently signed for the new season, honestly the stage was big but I believed in myself” the 24 year old told the club website before adding,
“As a player you have to jump at the available opportunity and I did just that and proved myself”.
Asked about his targets for next season, the pint sized fast winger was quick to set the pace of registering double digits.
“Am hoping to surpass last season’s numbers, I want to register double digits and help the team” He concluded.
A product of Terranova soccer academy, Frank Ssenyondo who was making his debut in the league managed eight goals and five assists in 25 appearances with the standout performance being his solitary strike against Onduparaka in Arua that gave new boss then Wasswa Bossa his first win of the season.
With the Red Eagles having finished 9th on the log, Ssenyondo and company clearly know a seventh league title should be the target when the league kicksoff in October.
