We have to compliment each other to have a solid backline – Arthur Kiggundu.
The strength of any team always begins from backline, how the defence is able to cope with the potent attacks from the opposition is key.
Center back Arthur Kiggundu who was apart of the Wasswa Bossa’s backline last season is aware that the 9th place finish and 37 goals conceded last season is a feat that shouldn’t happen again for Express FC.
“Honestly I can’t be proud of last season’s performance, we learnt from our mistakes and we shall do better” Kiggundu told the club website before adding,
“The backline has to compliment eachother to get the desired target of not leaking in goals and am certain my partners have prepared well ahead of the new season” He concluded.
Arthur Kiggundu featured in atleast five of the fifteen second round games partnering Issa Lumu in centre back while on some occasions the 29 year old played at left back.
The Red Eagles are chasing an elusive seventh league title which they last won in 2012.
