Shocks, shocks and shocks happened in the Uganda Cup round of 32 and saw 8 teams from lower leagues among the 16 who made it to the next round.

The Red Eagles eliminated Big League side Water FC after a 2-1 win, thanks to goals from Tony Odur and Ibrahim Kayiwa.

The Red Eagles have won the competition a record 10 times and belief is there in the squad that the 11th may be won this year.
“This is a competition we believe we can win and we are focusing a lot on it though we are giving the league a big effort as well to finish in the respectable position.” Goal scorer Ibrahim Kayiwa told expressfc.co.ug after the game against Water FC were the Red Eagles were away at Wankulukuku.

Masaka regional league side Nkambi Coffee surprised 9-time champions SC Villa with a 2-0 win dumping them out of the competition while Tooro United coached by former Red Eagle and Coach Waswa Bbosa eliminated champions and 10-time winners KCCA 3-1 on penalties after normal time ended 1-1.
