New signings (L-R): Umony, Ocholit, Sadiq, Goffin and Zaga

An opponent quite familiar

As stated earlier Tooro have many former Express players and their coach in a former player as well as coach. Waswa Bbosa coached Express for nearly six years after replacing Coach Sam Ssimbwa whom he was deputizing. He went on to lead us to our most recent best position in 2015/16 league season when we were 3rd only four points behind winners Vipers SC and level on points with second placed KCCA. Two former Express captains in Willy Kavuma and Steven Luswata are now playing for Tooro United a side which changed its name from Soana FC at the beginning of this season.
Other players include Godfrey Lwesibawa, Ayub Kizza, Issa Lumu, and Musa Mukasa who is also a former Express captain.
Express former goalkeeper and goalkeeping coach is also at Tooro United doing the same role he was doing at Express. We wait to see what that kind of familiarity will impact the game.

Tooro United unbeaten at Buhinga Stadium

The western Uganda side has turn the Kabarole based arena a fortress for all traveling side. The latest was Uganda Cup champion KCCA who they beat on penalties after a 1-1 draw in 90 minutes.
Express won the first round game 2-0 at Wankulukuku but now Tooro believes the table have turned and will put in a fight to see that the Red Eagles don’t break their record as the Red Eagles fight to go back with all three points. We are surely having a mount watering encounter upon us in Fort Portal.

Allan Kayiwa!

The diminutive attacking midfielder is the orchestrator of nearly all Tooro’s attacks he kept them in the Uganda Cup after scoring the equalizer to force penalties and later dump out holders of the domestic knockout competition. The midfielder has already scored 5 goals in the league and he is the top scorer for his side so we have to keep an eye on him.

First ever meeting of the two teams at Buhinga

It won’t be a fight for only three points but pride will also be at stake as well on Tuesday. Tooro United will be playing their first game against us at Buhinga Stadium after changing name and location at the beginning of the season. In an environment where they were warmly welcomed and even christened the Tooro Lions the Red Eagles will come to pick all three points to fulfill their ambitions of finishing in the top four. An entertaining encounter is anticipated from both teams.
