The Players Are Impressively Keeping Up With The Workouts – Helen Buteme.

The club’s strength and conditioning coach Helen Buteme can afford a smile two months into her reign at the club.

The former national women’s rugby cranes skipper and coach was brought in to provide a strength and conditioning program which helps the players stay fit and avoid injuries something Buteme says has been worthwhile.

“The past two months have been interesting, the players have been able to adjust accordingly, I can say so far so good” Helen stated.

The Leipzig University-trained S&C coach has opened up on how she’s handled the entire process amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic which has called for everyone to follow strict health guidelines issued by the ministry of health.

“Being unable to gather due to the COVID-19 restrictions has made my task harder, however, I’ve been able to share home workout programs with the players via WhatsApp and that’s how we’ve been communicating all through – it’s a tedious process but what can we do?” She stressed.

All players are required to carry out various exercises that focus on strengthening the core, developing muscular endurance, and improving agility and flexibility.

The Uganda Premier League is scheduled to start on the 17th of October 2020 and Wasswa Bossa’s charges are chasing an elusive seventh league title last won in 2012 or alternatively a top-three finish which was last achieved in 2015.
