Club legends don’t come many like is the case with Phillip Obwin who has spoken out about the happenings at Express FC.

The former Uganda Cranes skipper who wore the red and white from the early nineties with pride believes the club is headed back to the top based on the recent developments from player signings to a well-structured administration.

“I am happy about what is happening at the club, I think the new chairman Mr. Kiryowa Kiwanuka is doing a fantastic job. The most important thing is to have a structure that is respected by everyone which is the case at the club now” the soft spoken former utility player stated.

Phillip Obwin who won five titles at the club which included three domestic cups and two league titles has also taken note of the recruitment process which has seen 11 new faces added to the team adding it doesn’t get any better.

“The technical team has done well, am impressed with the new signings, a mixture of experience and young talent therefore the other puzzle is the fans who I’d like to request to trust the process and be disciplined” He stressed in conclusion.

Defensive midfielder John Byamukama is the latest addition to the 10 other new faces in Wasswa Bossa’s charges ahead of the new season. The Red Eagles are chasing the elusive 7th title they last won in 2012.
