Renovations Are Ongoing At Wankulukuku – Isaac Mwesigwa

Express FC have stepped up their bid to create a conducive environment for her fans by the time the Uganda Premier League kicks off in October.

The club has embarked on a renovation drive at the stadium with emphasis on the drainage system especially near the technical area and maintaining the playing surface something the club CEO Isaac Mwesigwa stressed was inevitable.

“When I joined the club, we agreed with the board and the stadium management that there are basic things we needed to have in place around the playing turf and as time goes by you will notice the changes and I’d like to thank the club board for the support,” Mwesigwa said.

Wankulukuku stadium has over the years struggled with maintaining the playing surface whenever the heavens open up but with the renovations taking shape that will be history. The club has also followed the FUFA club licensing directives of having a separate training ground for the players.

“We’re also setting up our training ground just beside the stadium to conform to FUFA licensing standards. As a club we want to closely monitor proceedings from training to match day from the same facility” He concluded.

The Uganda Premier League is expected to start on 17th October although the fixtures are yet to be released.
