Paidha v Express | 6 Things We Noticed
The Red Eagles won their second game in a row at a ground not easy to visit and go away with all three points. Below are the six key points we noticed.
11 points already
The Red Eagles already have 11 points in just 6 games by the end of the first round last season we had the same number of points from 15 games. That is an unreal improvement in just a year.
Disan Owns The Left Flank.
The young left wing back has started all our games this season and has played every minute. He joined the club from Maji but the way he express himself and move with ease makes you think he has been at Wankulukuku for yours
All our forwards have now scored
Ibrahim Kayiwa (3), Tony Odur (2), Mubarak Nsubuga (2), Eric Kambale (1) and Michael Birungi (1) have all scored at least a goal. They look like getting better with every passing game. We are yet to get a goal from a defender or deep lying midfielder
The team can adapt to different tactics
Our head coach is known for playing a passing game but against Paidha we had to sit and wait for them to come then get them on the counter. It worked and gave us the second goal. We also played long ball which really troubled the hosts and where caught by surprise on many occasions
An improvement in defending set pieces.
Against Mbarara we scored a goal from a set piece but conceded two and lost 3-1 in the end. The coach noted it and promised to work on it. Against Paidha the host pressurized via corners and good free kicks but Nana and Kiggundu never gave them a single chance.
Muwanga is consistent so far
The goalkeeper Muwanga is making to number his own without a doubt. He bearly puts a foot wrong. He knows how to command his defence and calm the entire team when under pressure. It will be a tough decision to get him out of team at the moment.
