Our Mental Strength, Self Motivation Will See Us Through – Murushid Juuko.
He has played for arguably one of the most successful clubs in Africa (Simba) before he joined the Red Eagles and his opinion certainly weighs heavily on the season thus far.
Juuko who has played a pivotal role in Express FC’s title charge and is also one of the very few players to have featured in upto 95% of the league games says the team’s mental strength and self motivation are key in the ending the club’s nine year trophy drought.

“The journey so far has been nothing short of hardwork, self belief and having the right mental strength, the boys have left everything on the pitch in all the games and they know it’s not done yet but if we keep that spirit we’re definitely going to give it a shot in both competitions that we’re in (League and cup)”.

Murushid Juuko who has played at least 95% of the Red Eagles’ league games has managed one goal this season but also marshaled the defence which has seen the club leak in only 13 league goals along with keeping 16 clean sheets across all competitions.
With four games to go, Wasswa Bbosa’s charges lead the chasing pack on 58 points, one ahead of second placed U.R.A FC and two ahead of third placed and defending champions Vipers SC. The Red Eagles resume their title charge away against Wakiso Giants then return home for two back to back home games against BUL FC and Myda respectively with the last league game being away to KCCA FC on June 30th.

Express FC are looking to end a nine year trophy drought having won their last league title in 2012.
The Red Eagles are also still in the Stanbic Uganda Cup and host KCCA FC in the first leg on Wednesday 26th May.
