My players give 100% – Coach Sim

After the 0-0 draw with Mbarara City we talked to coach Sim and below are his thoughts.

Coaches greet each other before the game

On the game…

We followed our structure we defended and attacked. We got a point.

On whether he is happy with a point…

I’m very happy, getting a point they are a good team in third position we are in 10th. We lost 3-1 in the first leg so now we have got a point it’s a good point.

On his game plan coming into this game…

We had to attack them and defend them they are a stubborn team with a lot of experienced players so what we did was to defend them attack. We got a chance and didn’t use it.

On whether he is disappointed not creating a lot….

First of all they all came to attack but how many chances did they get? Nothing. For us we got almost four chances but we didn’t finish them off.

On the performance of the team where he found them and where they are now…

First of all this is not my recruitment I’m just doing a job to make sure that the boys are happy and they can play if it was my recruitment we should have been having a very good bench but when I look at the bench I have a few options I have to fight my self to see that we get the goals.

On whether the team is just not good enough…

I can not say that but look at the bench we have less options but the boys are playing and trying their best so I can not say they are not putting 100% they are. I will continue to put in more players and give everyone a chance to play so that next year when we are doing our recruitment we know the places to put players in.

On whether he sees himself as the Express coach next season…

Why not?!

On whether the contract says so or the performance will determine that…

It will depend because our performance has been down I left Express 12 years ago and I have found the same performance nothing has changed.

On what he wants to achieve with the team this season…

We have to fight for the positions then after that we see what to do.

On how confident they can go past BUL FC in the Uganda Cup….

I played BUL in Njeru and we lost 1-0 after in the 93rd minute then they are coming here so we have to beat them. The Uganda Cup is a knockout game.
