Very few players, goalkeepers that at just 17 win awards after an outstanding performance in a tournament. Such is the case for Henry Mwebe, the Express FC Junior team goal minder who has been summoned to the squad preparing for the upcoming U-17 AFCON and can’t wait to get going and do better at the showpiece.

“Firstly I am glad to make the squad, like any other player representing the national team is a huge honor and together with my other teammates, we shall surely make the country proud. As an individual my target is to perform better than I did at CECAFA, the golden glove award i received motivated me more and I hope to build on that” Mwebe stated.

The pencil thin goal minder was summoned along with four fellow clubmates in Hassan Mubiru, Mudiba Samir, Gava Peter, Mwebe Henry and Oyirowth Humphrey. The 41-man provisional squad which was summoned by head coach Hamza Lutalo are expected to report to camp on Tuesday 9th February 2021.
