Murushid Juuko Sets Sights On Making CHAN Squad.
Express FC and Uganda Cranes center back Murushid Juuko is a man of very few words even when everyone expects him to speak out.
The experienced defender who was part of the 20 local based players summoned ahead of the AFCON 2021 AFCON qualifier against South Sudan but never made the final cut of 7 players has spoken out stating there’s always another opportunity in national team colours.
“Firstly, am grateful for the gaffer for the call up, he makes the final call and i respect that, I know there’s more games to come and I’ll be considered because am working extra towards that happening” he stated.

Asked about his next target going forward, the soft spoken defender was quick to highlight CHAN.
“I’d say playing at CHAN for now, although all that depends on how my teammates perform in the league but am optimistic the club will do well, we’re well prepared” He remarked.
Murushid Juuko has represented the Uganda Cranes at the past two consecutive AFCON editions and is one of the players head coach Wasswa Bbosa is depending on for a seventh league title.
CHAN a tournament that attracts only local based players is expected to kick off on 16th January 2021 in Cameroon and the Cranes who will be making a 5th straight appearance are pooled in group C alongside champions Morocco, neighbors Rwanda and Togo.
