Match Report: George Senkaaba Strike Earns Express FC First Away Win Of The Season.

Express FC picked up their first away league victory of the season following their 1-0 win over URA FC at the Arena Of Visions in Ndejje on Sunday evening.

Forward George Senkaaba who was making his first start this season scored the only goal 11 minutes into the game his second of the campaign.

URA FC failed to deal with Mathias Muwanga’s long ball which Senkaaba calmly controlled and shielded left back Arafat Galiwango before slotting home.

The visitors started brighty with Senkaaba running down URA FC’s backline but was unsuccessful on three minutes although he tacked the ball away eight minutes later.

Senkaaba scored his second of the season.

After taking the lead, the Red Eagles continued to press looking to double the lead and winger Charles Musiige would have in the 35th minute but his effort went agonizingly wide on the far post.

If Musiige was close, skipper Enock Walusimbi was unlucky after his effort hit the post only for URA goalkeeper Hannington  Ssebulunyo to pick up the pieces with seven minutes to the break.

Erick Kambale had a goal controversially disallowed by the centre refree.

After recess, the tax collectors came close on a few occasions with midfielder and captain Shafick Kagimu shooting from distance but his efforts all went wide.

“We prepared well, the boys knew we had to avoid conceding in set pieces like was the norm in other games, we had a few mistakes but we’re going back to correct them, the target remains going top of the table, we have KCCA FC next but we respect them and we shall prepare to get maximum points”.
