MATCH REPORT: EXPRESS FC SHARE SPOILS WITH NYASA BIG BULLETS FC.

Express FC shared spoils with Nyasa Big Bullets FC in the 1-1 draw in the CECAFA Kagame Cup on Wednesday evening at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar-es-Saalam, Tanzania.

Midfeilder Muzamiru Mutyaba scored a beauty after just five minutes before Chiukepo Msowoya levelled matters in the 66th minute.

The Red Eagles started off well using more of flanks to create chances and it was not long before the big break came, Godfrey Lwesibawa made pounced on Miracle Gabeya’s poor ball control on the right before dashing into the box with a cut in pass to find Muzamiru Mutyaba who’s dummy sent Miracle Gabeya into the ground before slotting home to give Express FC the lead on five minutes.

Nyasa Big Bullets then stepped it up, posessing the ball more and could have made it count five minutes later with defender Chimwemwe Idana whose effort kissed the each post before bouncing back into play but Joel Mutakubwa collected the ball calmly.

Eric Kaonga had the best chance before the break but his effort went over the bar.

After recess, Big Bullets stuck to their plan, possessing the ball more and finally got the break through in the 66th minute when Murushid Juuko failed to defend Hassan Kajoke’s header which found an unmarked Chiukepo Msowoya who slotted home to make it 1-1.

The result took Express FC to four points after two games played while Nyasa Big Bullets FC move to 2 points with the same number of games played.

“Today’s game was a bit different from our first game, Our level of fitness was ok. We also got chances but we didn’t utilize them also our opponents today we’re comfortable on the ball but we managed a point so I am hopeful by the time we play our next game we shall have recovered because we have two days of rest”.

“Well today’s game was tough but as a team we’re glad we managed a point. We definitely have a few corrections to make and we’re going back to do so, I also think we need to create more and score as many goals in our next game because we want to reach the semi finals”.
