MATCH REPORT: EXPRESS FC SEAL UGANDA CUP QUARTER-FINAL BERTH AFTER GOALLESS DRAW AWAY TO URA FC.

Express FC made the quarter finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup after their goalless draw away to league table leaders URA FC on Tuesday evening.

The game which was delayed for 20 minutes due to a water logged pitch kicked off on a low key as both teams traded cautiously on a very wet and slippery surface.

Charles Musiige registered the first attempt on goal in the 18th minute when he controlled the ball from midfield and made his way to the URA FC box but his shot on the left flank was brilliantly saved by URA goalkeeper Hannington Ssebwalunyo and that was just about it in the first half.

With cautious play at both ends, the Red Eagles returned from the break to press and get an away goal but the hosts proved steadfast.

The hosts launched several attacks but skipper Enock Walusimbi who partnered Murushid Juuko at the back contained the situation in the second period.
