
MATCH REPORT: EXPRESS FC LOSE AWAY TO SOLTILO BRIGHT STARS.
The Red Eagles suffered their second defeat of the season against Bright Stars at Kavumba Recreation Center.
Ibrahim Kayiwa headed in Issa Lumu’s freekick to give the visitors the lead in the 41st minute before Bright Stars equalized through Sam Ssekamatte and Emmanuel Loki gave them the lead with just 3 minutes to go.

Express started the bright side with Charles Musiige making good runs but the Bright Stars defense were up to the task and prevented them from taking the lead.
Express took the lead in the 41st minute through Ibrahim Kayiwawho headed in Issa Lumu’s free kick to score his second of the season.
Bright Stars were awarded a penalty in the 45th minute after the referee called the a handball in the area but Express goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga saves it to keep us in the lead.

The first half ended with Express having a 1-0 lead. Express returned for the second half the better side wining free kicks in the space of few minutes through Musiige and Kayiwa but Bright Stars defended well.
Express made double changes in the 60th minute, Muzamiru Mutyaba and Mustafa Kiragga coming on for Kayiwa and Kalanda respectively to add more fire power upfront but it was Bright Stars who equalized in the 76th minute.
Express made another change brining in more creativity through Ivan Mayanja coming on for Mahad Yaya Kakooza in the 81st minute.

Bright Stars took the lead in the 87 minute through Emmanuel Loki which proved to be the winning goal condemning the Red Eagles to the second loss of the season.

“It’s sad that we have lost the game, definitely not the result we wanted but it’s not the end we shall go back to the drawing board and correct our mistakes to make sure that we win the next game it’s a marathon and those ahead of us will also lose games so we have to stay focused, this is gone but we still have more to come.”

The Red Eagles remain in third place on the table with 37 points from 19 games trailing leaders Vipers by 6 points and both teams will face off on Friday at Kitende.
