Match Report | Dominant Express Pegged Back By KCCA at Wankulukuku.
The Red Eagles drew 1-1 with KCCA FC at Wankulukuku despite being the dominant team in the whole of the second half.

The first half didn’t see many chances being created but Express managed to get a goal through their number seven Eric Kambale in the added minute of the first half.
The striker pounced on Godfrey Lwesibawa’s freekick which beat the entire KCCA defense and found him unmarked to score with his left foot.
This was the striker’s second of the season after scoring his first against Bright Stars at Wankulukuku on matchday 3.

Express made two changes at the start of the second half bringing on Muzamiru Mutyaba for Charles Musiige and Mahad Yaya Kakooza for Daniel Shabene.
The dominance by the Red Eagles continued and they missed over 10 chances in the second half.
Frank Kalanda came on for George Senkaaba in the 60th minute after the latter missing 4 clear chances. Kalanda also got two good chances but he couldn’t get the second goal for the team.

Lwesibawa also had a great chance after he beat the offside trap by KCCA defense after a loose ball by Senkaaba but his effort hit the post.
KCCA had most of their better chances from Brian Ahebwa who troubled Muwanga twice but the goalkeeper was coming out on top. He had a strike from a tight angle as well but hit the post.
The KCCA got the leveler through Charles Lwanga after a ball deflected off Mahad Yaya to go out for a corner which he nodded in after a defensive mixup by Express defenders.
Reactions.
Head Coach Wasswa Bbosa.

“We have to make sure that our frontline concentrates and uses the chances we get. We got a lot of chances but we couldn’t use them and paid for it. We’re going to go back and see how we rectify that.”
Midfielder and man of the match Abel Etrude.

“I want to thank all the fans who came around to support us, we have drawn but we had an upper hand to win this game. We shall go back to the drawing board and rectify so that next time we don’t miss all those chances. We did everything possible to win but the game of football is sometimes like that, we shall not lose our focus of winning the trophy this season.”
The point now puts Express in the 4th position with 13 points from 7 games trailing leaders Police FC by 3 points before we visit BUL FC on Saturday in Jinja on matchday 8.
