Kambale,Walusimbi Focused On Making The Most Out Of Cranes Call Ups.
A national team call up especially for the very first time is a major highlight for any player like is the case for club captain Enock Walusimbi and forward Erick Kambale who received call ups along with experienced centre back Murushid Juuko ahead of the Uganda Cranes friendly away to South Africa.

For Enock Walusimbi who has managed one assist in 30 appearances this season, it’s a dream come true and a motivator to keep working harder.
“Like any other player, it’s a dream come true to be summoned for the national team, for me this means I have to double my efforts and become a regular and I believe I will, as for my teammates (Juuko and Kambale) I believe they have the same goal and hopefully we put up a good performance against South Africa”.

For Erick Kambale, the call up is a reward for hard work. The lanky forward has managed 17 goals in 31 appearances across all competitions and he can only return the favour by performing well on his debut.
“It’s a fantastic achievement for me, I’d first of all like to appreciate my teammates, the technical team and the club management for enabling me to perform well, whatever we’ve achieved as a club is down to working as a unit and for me the call up gives me motivation to perform to my best when we face South Africa”.

The Red Eagles sit top of the league table one point adrift the chasing pack and are also in the quarter finals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup. The Uganda Cranes are expected to report to camp on Friday with interim head coach Abdullah Mubiru taking charge of the squad.
