It’s normal to me – Muwanga

Muwanga was the man of the hour as the Red Eagles ejected Police from the Uganda cup to qualify for the quarter finals.

The goal keeper saved two penalties from Jumah Balinya and Edgar Bwogi Out of the three he faced and helped us to a 4-1 win.

Mr. Safe hands.

The goal keeper had fallen out of the pecking order but after the appointment of Coach Ssimwogerere and his staff they put trust in him and he has started all three games they have managed.

We talked to him after the game and below is what he told us.

On the game…

It wasn’t a bad game, you know every knockout game is tough it was a 50-50 game we got the chances but we couldn’t score but we had the hope that even if it’s a draw we shall edge it in penalties.

On saving two penalties and leading us to the win…

To me it’s a normal thing but first of all I will thank the coaches for trusting me to be back in goal they saw my abilities and trusted me and I have not let them down. I promise the fans this is the trophy we are looking at, Uganda Cup.

On whether we should start to believe…

There’s no doubt, just know that we want to win this trophy it’s our target to win it, it’s what we are working for.
