It’s A Process But I’ll Get There – Enock Walusimbi On His Cranes Experience.
As the Uganda Cranes walked off the pitch at the Orlando stadium on 10th June in Soweto after a 3-2 loss to hosts Bafana Bafana, the entire traveling contingent including Express FC skipper Enock Walusimbi believed the team had given their all.

Abdullah Mubiru’s charges ended the first half with the lead but South Africa fought back and won it but even though Walusimbi didn’t make his debut, making the travelling squad and the bench was a worthwhile experience.

“Representing your country for any player is a huge milestone, I am grateful that I was part of the squad in South Africa, I’ve learnt alot especially from senior players like Murushid Juuko and the captain Emmanuel Okwi, we played as a team although unfortunately we didn’t get the result we wanted but we picked some positives and we shall bounce back better and personally I think it’s only a matter of time before I make my national team debut”.

Enock Walusimbi and Murushid Juuko will now return to the club with a bumper league and cup schedule awaiting them, Wasswa Bbosa’s charges who top the log on 58 points, one adrift of the chasing pack travel to Wakisha Resource Centre to face Wakiso Giants before hosting relegated Myda FC two days later and BUL FC on Saturday that week.

The Red Eagles who are also in the semi finals of the Uganda cup then wrap up the campaign with an away game against rivals KCCA FC on 30th June 2021, all Express FC have to do is win all their remaining four league games to win their 7th league title.
