I’m not scared of Mbarara City- Coach Sim

Mbarara City is coming to town on Tuesday to face the Red Eagles at Wankulukuku.

We talked to coach Sim about the game and his team and below is what he said.

On Tuesday’s game…

We are very ready luckily enough we have some players who are back from injury and we are monitoring them to see that they help us tomorrow. Kiggundu, Musoke, Kakeeto are the players we are looking at to see that they play on Tuesday.

On the performance of Mbarara City and the threat they pose…

We don’t have a problem about that even if we lost the first round game Express is a good team which can get a result against Mbarara City and we get the three points. As Sim I’m not scared. They beat us at Kavumba so we can beat them at Wankulukuku.

On team news…

Mubaraka Nsubuga got injured against Vipers and he has not recovered so he will be out of the game, others are now available. Kambale has started training on Monday and won’t be available on Tuesday.

On Arthur Kiggundu…

He missed the Vipers game but he is now available he may start against Mbarara City.

On Disan Galiwango coming back from injury and whether he will return to left back…

Disan is no longer a left back he is an attacker, he is one of the players we count as attackers. At the recruitment we didn’t recruit a left winger or number 11 we have to train Disan to see that he can perform that position and so far he has performed well he has created two goals against Nyamityobora and Maroons.

On Sadiq Ssekyembe’s perfomance at Kitende and whether he will get more minutes…

He played well but still lacks a few things as a player but we shall build him slowly to see that he comes into the first line up.

On Birungi being the only player summoned for the national team…

It shows you that we don’t have the quality we need yet if we can get a player on loan from Vipers like Zaga and then he becomes your best player it shows that we lack good players here so let’s try to get good players so that our squad can get like 6 or 7 players summoned for national duty.

On Zaga coming back after missing two consecutive games…

He’s back but not on the form we need him to be but we shall not sit him on the bench we shall play him because we want him to get to the fitness levels we desire so that he can play well the Uganda Cup game. He will play tomorrow.
