Club Announcement: Muwanga, Kakeeto, Odur, Kayiwa, Male, Musoke and Mbidde’s Contracts Will Not Be Renewed

The club has decided not to renew the contracts of the following players:

Mathias Muwanga

Goalkeeper Mathias Muwanga joined the club from URA FC. He has served the club for one season including the heroic performance against Police in the Uganda Cup where he saved 2 penalties to help us qualify for the quarter finals.
While at Express he earned a national team call up at the U23 level in the Olympic qualifiers.

Kakeeto (22) warming up

Shafik Kakeeto joined the club from Soana now Tooro United two seasons ago. He was part of the team that kept a clean sheet at Bugonga in our 1-0 win against Masavu on the last day of the 2017/18 UPL season and helped us maintain premier league status.

Tony Odur

Tony Odur joined us for another spell from Vipers FC and he was our league top scorer with 7 goals and one in the Uganda cup.
He scored the winning penalty for us against Police in the Uganda Cup round of 16 and always gave us good moments from the penalty mark.

Ibrahim Kayiwa

Ibrahim Kayiwa will also be leaving the club. The midfielder joined us from Vipers after a loan spell at Kirinya Jinja SSS.
His header against Water FC in the added minutes of the Uganda Cup round of 32 at Wankulukuku will forever be memorable and many other performances.
He was in his second stint at the club and it has been agreed to let him ply his trade elsewhere.

Joel Male (24)

Joel Male joined the club from Katwe United and made a few appearances in the season the club he decided not to renew his contract.

Pius Mbidde

Pius Mbidde joined from Big League side Kitara FC and made many performances for the club in defensive midfield. His contract won’t be renewed.

Charles Musoke

Charles Musoke joined from Nyamityobora FC and started in midfield before making the right back position his own towards the end of the season. The club has decided not to continue his stay.

They join Isaac Mutanga who was released earlier. The club wishes all the players the very best in their careers
