Kefa Kisala confident his boys will be ready by 28th September
In less than 3 weeks time we shall commence the new season and we shall be nearly having a new team at Express which needs to gel with out a doubt.
Express new head coach and former player Kefa Kisala believes his team will be ready for the season despite nearly three quarters of the squad being new. Among the new faces though include former Red Eagles Ibrahim Kayiwa and Tony Odur joining the club for other stints.
As the Red Eagles concluded another week of training on Saturday they beat regional side Wembley 4-1 thanks to goals by Eric Kambale, Joel Male, Michael Male and Billy Nkata. Kefa believes these games are good for the club to get confidence, match fitness, gelling and evaluation for the side of the coaches.

With just few weeks to the season Express is still short in the goalkeeping department and Kefa had this to say about it.
“We shall bring in a keeper hopefully on Monday. We need an experienced keeper who we can rely on and by the start of the season he has to be here then we shall be ready.”
Express also still has a problem of scoring goals. This was seen vividly in the friendly against Police were they created over 5 chances but couldn’t score any apart from and own goal by Police’s Ashraf Mugume. Kefa said, “At least we can create chances and have experienced goal scorers like Odur, Birungi and a young Kambale. We shall work on our finishing and make sure we use all the chances we get but you know its always had to used all the chances you create. You just have to create more and work hard to score but we all know luck also works sometimes.”
The Red Eagles will be back in training on Monday for another week of hard work and friendlies which will be communicated.
