Forward George Senkaaba ruled out of Action for Six Weeks.
Express FC forward George Senkaaba has been ruled out of action for the next six to eight weeks after he picked up a multiple partial tear in his achilles.
The forward picked up the injury in the 50th minute in the club’s 1 – 0 away win against Kitara FC on Tuesday 2nd March and was substituted immediately with eventual goal scorer Frank Kalanda coming on for him, for Senkaaba it’s a set back but one he says he can recover from.

“It’s sad that I’ve picked up the injury at the time when I and the team were doing well but that’s football for you, sometimes these moments happen and you can’t turn the clock back. I am however mentally focused and certain that I’ll bounce back stronger, the club has done a great job to ensure I get the necessary treatment and I am surely positive I’ll be fine”.

George Senkaaba is the current club leading goal scorer with six goals, previously a bench player, Junior Agogo fought his way to the starting XI and has never turned back.
He opened his account in the 1 – 0 win at home against arch rivals S.C Villa before scoring another winner away to URA FC. He then stepped up his sharpness and scored four goals in three games.

His absence means Frank Kalanda, last season’s club top scorer will be tasked with finding the back of the net in the remaining first round games. Senkaaba is expected to return to full fitness in May.
A win for the Red Eagles at home to Busoga United takes them back top the league summit, a point ahead of current league winners Vipers SC.
