The Red Eagles 10 points better off than last season.

The Red Eagles finished the first round of the 2017/18 Uganda Premier League season with only 11 points, by the close of the the first round of the 2018/19 season they are having 21 points. 10 points better than they were last season and won’t be in the relegation battle for sure this season.

Mutebi kept his first clean sheet as an Express player.

Ronald Mutebi was in goal for Express against Ndejje. He kept his first clean sheet in an Express shirt that evening. He got his debut against Bright Stars at Mwererwe after Kyamera got injured and had conceded in every game he had played.

Tony Odur finished as our top scorer.

The striker scored four goals in the first round more than any other player. He scored his 4th against Maroons in Luzira Eric Kambale, Michael Birungi and Ibrahim Kayiwa follow with 3 goals each.

15 goals scored 14 conceded.

The Red Eagles have nearly scored in every game but have conceded a lot of goals. According to Head Coach Kefa Kisala this will determine the business the club will do in the January transfer window. He his likely to strengthen both defense and striking to reduce the team conceding and score more goals.

Kambale and Badru Nsubuga dearly missed.

Of recent, they had become very important players in the Express attack. Badru missed out due to suspension after receiving three accumulated yellow cards while Kambale had a hamstring problem.
In a game where the Express front line was blunt they missed these two players. Head coach Kefa Kisala believed if the two were available they would have unlocked a compact Ndejje University defense.
