#EXPMBA | Express v Mbarara City | 5 Things To Look Out For

The Red Eagles are back in action on Tuesday 5th March against Mbarara City.
The game will kick off at 4pm at the Betway Mutesa II Stadium, Wankulukuku

Here are the five things to look out for.

Zaga back!

The youngster missed the game against Ndejje University in Bombo due to a mild hamstring injury. He went on to miss the game against Vipers being on loan from the same club to Express the rules couldn’t allow him play his parent club.
He has been a very important member of the club in the creative role. He has already scored one goal and won two man of the match awards against Nyamityobora in Kakyeeka and Maroons at Wankulukuku.
We wait to see how his impact will be tomorrow.

Disan Galiwango back from suspension

The left back has only missed a single game for the Red Eagles this season in both cup and league games. Due to accumulated yellow cards he missed the game against Vipers. Since the appointment of coach George Ssimwogerere he has been used in an advanced role with Kiggundu playing in the left back position. On Tuesday he will be back and give more options to the coach.

Another outing for Ssekyembe?

The youngster joined the club from Katwe United in January and made his debut in the UPL and for Express. He came on at halftime to replace Shafiq Kakeeto and played very well according to his coach. Arthur Kiggundu Another left back may miss the game due to a hamstring problem and with only two options remaining the coach may decide to use Ssekyembe in left back and Disan Galiwango in an advanced role as it has been in our last six games. We wait to see how the coach will line up his charges.

A sweet revenge against Mbarara?

The western Uganda side and Express have used the home advantage very well. Mbarara have won the two home fixtures while the Red Eagles have also won the home tie last season. The club will be meeting for the fourth time on Tuesday, two wins for Mbarara City both home and one for Express at home. The fourth will be at the home of Express and nothing but a win will be good enough for the Red Eagles. Mbarara beat the Red Eagles 3-1 at Kavumba before their Kakyeeka home was cleared by the authorities.

First home win for Coach Sim?

The former Red Eagles captain and now head coach George Ssimwogerere has not won at home in the UPL but has already won two games away at Kakyeeka against Nyamityobora and Bombo against Ndejje. Mbarara May be a tricky opponent having surprised everyone being in 3rd place with just 8 games to go but coach Sim and his charges will not look into that but go all out to look for the three points to move up the table and win the first home game since beating Nyamityobora 2-1 in December.
