#EXPMBA | 0-0 | 5 Things We Noticed
We drew 0-0 with Mbarara City on Matchday 23 at Wankulukuku
Here are the five things we noticed.
Another Clean sheet
The Red Eagles have kept 4 clean sheets in their last 7 games. Two wins and two draws. With the Uganda Cup coming up on Monday being tight at the back is vital and we should keep it that way.
Revita Looked Bright again
The defender led the Red Eagles in the absence of Isaac Mutanga. He commanded his back line well and limited Mbarara City to no clear cut chance with his teammates at the back.
Pius Mbidde kept Mucureezi at bay
The midfielder replaced Captain Isaac Mutanga as a late inclusion and was tasked to put Mucureezi out of the game. The best player for the visitors going forward was limited to only 2 shots at goal with one going on target. Pius Mbidde was the man behind the silencing of Mucureezi the pathway of Mbarara’s attacks.
Arthur Kiggundu returned
The defender returned after missing the game against Vipers due to an injury he sustained against Ndejje in Bombo. His coming back creates the much needed stability in defense ahead of a very important game on Monday 11th against BUL in the Uganda cup quarter finals.
Disan Galiwango adapting well on the left side of the attack
According to head coach George Ssimwogerere the former left back is no longer a left back in his plans but an attacker due to the limited left-sided attacking players at his disposal. Against Mbarara the left winger had the best chance for the Red Eagles, his left footed shot from outside the box was tipped over the bar to award the hosts a corner with only 12 minutes to go. With every passing game the signs are positive that he can only improve in that position.
