Eric Kambale eager to earn Wasswa Bossa’s trust and regain starting berth.
The number nine shirt at any club is always donned by the top marksman who is expected to rise to the occasion whenever it matters most.
Forward Eric Kambale understands the pressure that comes with the Express FC badge and to get to the top, the lanky striker believes it’s high time he earned head coach Wasswa Bossa’s trust to be able to nail a starting berth next season.
“It’s been start-stop for me, I missed the first round of last season because of personal reasons and that set me back abit but I know I have to work hard to earn coach Bossa’s trust ahead of next season” Kambale told the club website.
The 20 year old is famously remembered for scoring in Express FC’s 3-2 win over KCCA FC ending the latter’s unbeaten run on Dec 11th 2018 where he was also named Man of the match.
Eric Kambale managed a single goal last season, scoring in the Red Eagles’ 3-3 draw against Maroons in the Uganda cup later Maroons wining 4-2 on penalties and with lead forward Frank Kalanda having managed 11 goals, it’s evident Kambale will have to triple his efforts to be able to start as often.
