Youngster Desmond Kaneene over the moon after third captaincy role nod.

The club’s third captain Kaneene Desmond has expressed his delight at being considered for such a huge role at the club.

The 20 year old who has grown through the club’s youth structures has revealed it’s a dream come true, emphasizing he is ready for the challenge ahead.

“I am happy that I’ve been named as a third captain of the club, for me it’s a dream come true because all my time at the club, I’ve always wanted to be wear the arm band with the senior team” He said before adding,

“I thank the technical team for the opportunity and i won’t let them down, I believe we have a good team and if we work together as a unit, we shall surely win trophies” He concluded.

The 20 year old joined the Red Eagles junior side in 2016 as a 16 year old from Step Up Soccer Academy based in Nabweru, wakiso district.

He earned promotion to the senior team last term after a solid five seasons with the juniors but not before leading the the (junior side) to a third place finish in the 2019 FUFA Junior League which remains the club’s best finish ever.

Kaneene is third in line but goal minder Mathias Muwanga is the assistant captain while versatile defender Enock Walusimbi is the club’s first captain.
